I make every effort to test and match tubes before placing them
for sale. Unfortunately things do happend in shipping, or you get a tube that just doesn't perform as expected in your system.
Below are my policies on returns which are stated to clearly define how I handle equipment returns.
1) Defective tubes must be returned within 15 days of receipt.
Full refunds/return credit will be given on defective tubes only. Any tubes returned that are fully functional and pass all
transconductance, emission, gas, shorts, and continuity tests are NOT considered defective. A defective tube is one that does
not meet minimum tube handbook specifications. I test all tubes for these specifications before shipping them.
Tubes that pass before shipping and do not pass when you return them may not qualify for credit as this suggests that the
tube was destroyed by misapplication or abuse. Breakage or damage caused by operation outside of manufacturer's specifications
are NOT covered.
2) All audio preamplifier tubes (where possible) are checked for
excessive microphonics and noise before shipment. Some tube brands/models have inherent microphonic characteristics which
cannot be avoided. Some systems in which these tubes are used are extremely sensitive to microphonics and will reveal
this characteristic in an unpleasant manner. Some tubes may not be compatible with your equipment. It is up to you
to research these aspects prior to purchase. I cannot refund you for a tube because you don't like its sound
or because it does not work in your particular gear!
3) Tubes being returned for reasons OTHER than defective must still
test good, have the same appearance and box as when shipped, and otherwise be undamaged or I will not be able to provide a
refund. IF TUBES ARE RETURNED FOR REASONS OTHER THAN DEFECTIVE, ALL ITEMS ARE SUBJECT TO A 20 PERCENT RESTOCKING
FEE. The tube must look and test like it did before I shipped it for a refund to be considered.
4) Shipping charges are NOT included in any refund, exchange, or
credit transaction under this guarantee. All refunds or credit issued will be in US Dollars only. INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:
All cash refunds will be in US Dollars in the form of an International Postal Money Order. This will be sent via registered
air mail, with return receipt. If tubes are refunded for reasons OTHER than defective, the postal charges for these delivery
services will be deducted from your refund. This is a protective measure for both of us, and insures your refund arrives quickly
and safely.
5) If you requested UPS shipment, or insured priority mail, and
received broken or otherwise damaged tubes, UPS or the Post Office will handle your claim. This is the only circumstance under
which breakage is covered, and you must institute the claim with the carrier at your local Post Office per Postal Insurance
requirements, or with UPS. Tubes are carefully packed, but I cannot control the shipping process after the package leaves
my hands. All tubes are tested at time of packing, therefore a Dead On Arrival tube is considered shipping damage. SHIPPING
INSURANCE IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED. I cannot be responsible for late, lost, misdirected, or damaged shipments. The Post Office
or UPS will handle all damage claims and make any damage payments. No returns will be accepted of ANY shipping damaged items,
as you must present the damaged items, the box and packing, and a copy of this invoice to your local Post Office or UPS agent
when making your claim.
6) These terms apply to items purchased directly from the TubeSeller.com website or via email or verbal
correspondence. They do not apply to items purchased via Ebay or other online auction transactions. The terms of sale stated
at those auction websites apply to any transactions consumated as a result of "winning bid" or purchase made via the Ebay
or other online auction system.
IF I DETERMINE THAT AN AMPLIFIER TUBE HAS BEEN DAMAGED BY YOUR EQUIPMENT,
THE TUBE WILL NOT BE REPLACED AND NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN
WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY RETURNED AMPLIFIER TUBES AFTER THE 15 DAY
PERIOD UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
